Last month, the US House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a bipartisan bill preventing Federal funds from being used to enforce Federal cannabis laws in states that have legalized it. This is a major development that could have many benefits to the industry. Although this hasn't passed the Senate yet, the signs are clear that it's going to happen, and soon.
Which cannabis laws are next on the docket; banking, States Rights, full legalization (probably not yet)? Regardless, progress is being made, which is desperately needed for an industry that has challenges coming from all directions. Now that the election cycle is back again, let's elect leaders who will roll back the harmful prohibition era policies.
